Ok, ok, ok. I know I'm not alone when I say I feel like Will Smith is something special. I feel like I know the man, from the countless amazing movies he's been in it just seems that he is this fun loving, down to earth dude that we would all like to hang out with.

This is why when he walks on stage at something like the Oscars, nobody bats an eye. Security doesn't stop him, nobody intervenes, as he bitch slaps the comedian being paid to stand up there and entertain everyone.

If that were anyone else, they would not have been allowed on stage and they'd have been hauled off in hand cuffs for assault. Why does Will Smith get away with it? Well, for starters, this is not an uncommon behavior for a character in one of his movies. This is why the crowd actually laughed as it was happening, assuming he and Chris had this planned as some kind of comedic stunt.

Then Will sits down and cusses on life TV as he basically threatens to escalate if the comedian on stage mentions his wife's name again.

I love Will Smith, and I never thought twice at seeing Jaiden with short hair - I automatically attributed it to one of two things: style, or a role. She is stunning, regardless of the length of her hair and most women could not pull it off.

I would never rally for Will Smith to be arrested or sued.

But, and here's the big but.

Is there some reason why it's simply ok for Will to behave in a way that would have put the rest of us in jail? Elton John said it best "While Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters

This is why I don't watch the Oscars, it's full of a bunch of snooty mona lisa's and mad hatters who think of themselves as gods who can do anything they want.....it's all about the rich staying rich, and the independent filmmaker staying independent.

This elite bunch of self entitled actors get gift bags valued at over 100K can commit assault/battery with a live audience cheering them on, and face zero consequences. Meanwhile tens of thousands, maybe even millions of homeless people are out there freezing and starving to death on the streets. Imagine what would happen if one of them found a way onto that stage?

Shame on Will Smith for letting himself take things so seriously that he would promote the very violence that's tearing this world apart - on national television.
